Needing some ultrasonic cleaner help

Postby D4Rk » Sat Feb 14, 2015 1:08 am

I want to purchase an ultrasonic cleaner hopefully within the next few months.
I am wanting one that I can fit a laptop board in.

What size would be ideal for this?
What chemicals are good for cleaning?

Thanks

Sorry, ask this only out of curiosity, not meaning anything with it.

But why allways a pm?
Might be interesting for other forum members to see what you suggest?

D4Rk, lots of info here:
http://www.tmasc.com/qa%20process.htm

Some US cleaners are better for Electronics (adjustable, higher or frequenty sweeping....)
Some stay cold, but one with heating will allways give better performance.

Cleaning solutions you can find with distributors for electronics componenets.
Oven cleaners, for reflow ovens, to clean out flux etc... are often very good for use in an US cleaner.

You can find that stuff with most electronics component and tools disdtributors.

Ok, was just as it is one of the things of my to get list.
Have a small one for bga and small parts cleaning.

For now, I do have access to an industiral one in the mean when I really need it.
Untill I can afford a real big one with heating, fitting at least PS3 and full ATX pcbs.
Damn, they are expesnsive....

Ive been doing a little research on this and this is the best I found so far (Aoyue 9070 Ultrasonic Cleaner for Circuit Boards) Fits PS3 boards and read a good review at another forum site that had pics and believable info. Approx cost in the USA $430.00
