Business

Postby skyn3ts » Fri Jul 18, 2014 2:57 pm

Hi guys,

I'm having a problem with my "business". I barely have something to fix.
I'm living in a small town so the problem is that the last month I got 2 local laptop to fix and then nothing.
I tried to make an ad on ebay but looks like there is not much interest in fixing laptops.

I decided to buy bad non-working laptops thru ebay but the non-working laptops sells better there than the working ones.
I usually got 2-3 good deals on ebay per month and that was a good month. I really don't know what to do.
What do you guys do to get more work?
Thanks god I'm not doing this for living but I'd like to make some extra money.

Any advice are welcome!

Edit: I hope this is the best section to open this topic.

Branch out to other types of repairs then just laptops. I live in a small town with 45,000 people and I'm getting average 10 repairs a week

How long is your business running?

Really need some advertisement personally specially if you cater small area, a calling card and a brochure of your services will do.

With prayer and good repair reputation will greatly help.

It is just like a network of people and friend and family, if your service reach them they themselves will refer you i'm sure of it.

What do you mean? Repairing game consoles or phones? That's not even a small town. :) This town of 2000 people. The nearest town of 30,000 people.

This is a good idea. I'll check the computer stores around here.

2 months here. I lived in a biggest town with 80,000 people before I moved here.

I would recommend getting into game consoles and cell phones, and possibly tablets. Should keep you more busy if you expand your repair knowledge on consumer electronics.
Not sure where you live but try Craigslist. I get calls/texts/inquiries pretty much everyday from there. I'm near the Los Angeles area though so there's definitely a lot more people here.

Make a business card and pass them out to all your clients too :)

If you really want to develop a good business Idea you can make a two weeks course of nootropics (https://nootropicboost.com) and when your brain will work on 100% ideas will appear immediately    But if seriously, the idea is good.
