Well, it happened :(

After 4 years.....my PS3 launch version bit the dust again. I reballed it with leaded solder back in 2013 and it's been amazing. This past 4th of July, I was playing a game and when I turned it off, the red light started blinking. The dreaded YLOD has hit my system. Turns out, the GPU wasn't the issue, though. I looked at the motherboard before I put it on the machine for a reflow and there was a blister bubble right by the RSX. I've never seen or heard of that happening before doing a reflow but I see that it can happen. Guess I'll be getting a new motherboard since there's no fixing blisters.

I've seen it happen before back when I used to do reworking.
I've had my ps3 for a while now and I hope that it continues to work smoothly for the time being.
If not, I have two other ps3 slims that just need lasers.
