I saw this guide many moons ago and did the suggested adjustment but could never get the jig to sit right, and as a result my solder balls were all over the shop...

Now I just have the the screws in the recessed position and it's perfect, weird I know... I have always adjusted the stencil as recommended though...

holy crap im so glad i clicked on this thread, i have been trying to successfully reball to no avail, i always thought i was using to much/little flux and that was my issue. first reball i tried after adjusting it came out almost perfect, just the outer edge didn't go, i think i need to mess with the adjustment a little more and ill have it. fersy you're a god amongst men.

Has anyone drilled the top or bottom of the jig to simplify adjusting the screws? I have a jig that shuttlestar sent me with my machine that has set screws with holes in the bottom to adjust the top. Worked great, but it does't have the self centering bga holder, so I don't use it anymore.

Drilling the top with small holes for the Allen driver would make it the easiest to adjust without holding the jig up with one hand.

I tried but the aluminum is so hard, the drill bit kept going off target. Don't have a drill press to make it easier, so I hand held the drill. I've never encountered aluminum so hard!
