DON'T buy that crap from maplin electronics - its tricky to apply (pen is rubbish) and is WAAAAAY too expensive. Stick with those syringes - just bought another 5 myself!

Those pens have been sat around in the shop for well over 2 years - trust me... I worked for Maplins last year. Atrocious the way they handle stock, and most of it is from china anyway (look on Amazon for the same thing but cheaper)

Hi !

I have found this thread when i have received a damaged PS3 Slim where the customer had "torn" away the WiFi module. Some pads where damaged.
I wanted to try the method explained in this thread and it work ! You just must have a steady hand ;)

I do a quick clean up around the repair to remove any stray paint while its still soft, just repaired a pulled pad on a ps3 mobo the same way, and to be honest, I found it quite easy to do!

I need to do a PS3 mobo like that. I pulled a few pads so I am not going to reattach the GPU until the silver cond. paint I ordered comes in.

When testing with a multimeter........what setting do you use? Continuity, Ohms, Voltage, etc.?

if you mean testing if the connection is ok then you want continuity.
