BGA Rework Station Profile - The Basics

Postby XJonnyGunsX » Fri May 24, 2013 4:01 am

Hey guys!

Sorry I've been so dormant lately. Not the case anymore!

I made a video on the basics of how to make a profile on a dark IR BGA rework machine.

There are a lot of guides and great information written, but this is my stab at it.

Thank you for watching!

Good work. I love your reballing videos. They are long but extremely thorough.

This is awesome thank you. I'm just starting out and this is giving me a much better understanding of things so when I get my machine I'll be able to work with it to get the best profile for me and not get too eager and push the machine to get what I want before it's ready.

Just don't fall for the profiles being sold online, they might work well on one machine in a certain environment but rest assured if you use it on your own machine if will be severely flawed.

Recently someone was kind enough to send me a purchased profile, just for review and although it made for a good read explaining fundamental base terms to a new user etc, it was also vastly over complicated, It was almost like it was set out to baffle the user mid way through so he couldn't detect the bloat out of the pages or question the science, I also found the max BGA temps to be too high. At best the one I had was reference material, but really it wasn't even that as I found some of the points raised fundamentally incorrect.

Once you get a machine tap into the BGA support resources so you can build a personalized profile ;)
