Is it possible if you can do a diy video tutorial on this mod?

Well i am pretty tired of the stock thermocouple, while i am at changing it i will order the C100. Tell me which is the best thermocouple. Because when i use large boards that hover over the stock thermocouple i get 260C in 2min (of course not real 260C).

Omega are meant to be the best but they are very sensitive, can break easily and in my experience don't give any real improvement on standard temps, but the trade will tell you omega all the way... Lately I'm using the 2 Standard K-type ones and one omega, my other 2 omegas broke...

Can i put a new K type in the current controller till my C100 arrives? Because i haven't been opening it and need to work with it the next few days.

While i am at it, is the TC faulty for these temps or is the controller just not precise enough?

You can try, but I am certain it won't work. There is something strange about that OEM controller. Myself and others have found on
out 8280's that another type K would not work, but I have hooked up my OEM 8280 TC up to another PID controller set for type K TC
and it reads perfectly. Works in my type K temp meter too. It's weird. You will like it much better modded with a REX c100 or other
PID controller. You will actually be able to tune it with PID settings.

@senoBGA - Since this is a tutorial for another person's 8280, you should create your own 8280 preheater modification
topic. Then we can answer any questions and give some guidance you may need there instead of adding a bunch of
posts to DrunkenNinja's 8280 mod guide. Rex C100 is fine for this mod. just need to modify the output of it.
