What's the benefit of swapping the IR head for the HR one? I'm waiting for my Scotle HR6000 to arrive, but I bought it mainly because I didn't want the glass bottom heater that comes with the Achi IR6500......but other than that, I thought that the IR head on the 6500 would be better than the hot air head I'm getting on my 6000....is that not the case? Thanks in advance!

both have Pros and Cons depending on your work environment but really comes down to preference and what you are use to,. i personally only use IR (Elstein rfs80 ) for PS3 and Xbox. for smaller rework i.e laptop chipsets i prefer HR as i like higher level of control in developing profiles.

What would be the benefit of going to HR on top vs IR. It is sort of a newbie question, I apologize. Been browsing the forums for the last month trying to take in everything I can as I debate between the purchase of a Honton r490 and Scotle IR360 V3 Pro
